Market research industry: GIM as a sought-after consultant and still top 5

20.03.2024

GIM continues to be one of the five most successful and therefore 20 largest market research companies in Germany. Whether in the private or public sector: in the dynamic social and economic environment, the need for consulting is growing - before and alongside market research.

Wars, crises, price increases: In the challenging year 2023, there was hardly a market that was able to escape these global influencing factors. Many providers of products and services, for example, reported sales problems worldwide. However, changing consumer conditions call for new market analyses and target group research.

Whether for cars, chocolate or toothbrushes: GIM remained relevant for its customers even in this challenging environment - and, as in the previous year, achieved 5th place in the Context sales list. According to the industry portal marktforschung.de, the top 50 institutes in Germany generated a combined turnover of 1.668 billion euros.

Providing answers as a problem solver

According to industry experts, there is currently a growing need for advice and optimization in areas such as brand experience, target group penetration and scenario analyses. Matthias Fank, Professor of Information Management at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, says: "You commission a market research institute because you want to solve problems or get answers to questions." Insights managers are in demand. This has been one of GIM's core strengths since it was founded in 1987: listening, understanding - and connecting people with brands. Modern market research with accompanying consulting.
